UA-ACTS Mentors
Students who participate in this program will each be assigned a peer mentor as their primary contact in the program. The mentor will be an advanced undergraduate student who is majoring in psychology, communicative disorders, or a related field. All mentors must complete an interview process and training prior to starting in this role.
UA-ACTS Advisory Board
The Advisory Board for UA-ACTS is composed of a number of individuals with a vested interest in the success of autistic students. The Advisory Board meets annually to guide the clinical, outreach, and research activities of the UA-ACTS Program. Currently, the Advisory Board consists of individuals in a variety of roles across campus and the community, such as:
- Parents of former ACTS students
- State-wide autism advocacy representative
- Community providers of adult autism clinical services
- UA faculty
- Staff from collaborating UA departments and programs, such as the Office of Disability Services, Housing and Residential Communities, and Student Conduct
- UA-ACTS directors and staff members
